2021's painted garbage can entries

Thank you to everyone who participated in our 2021 Garbage Can Design Contest!

Voting is now closed and with over 1100 votes cast, our winners are:

  • 1st Place - St. Albert Nature School (3-5 year olds)

  • 2nd Place - Alexandre Tache (grade 5)

  • 3rd Place - Alexandre Tache (grade 6)

This is an annual competition where students paint garbage cans in an effort to help beautify the City!

This year's theme is 2030 St. Albert's Future Environment. From April 29 to May 13, residents viewed one-of-a-kind designs and voted for their favourite!

Presented by TD, the Garbage Can Design Contest is part of the Spruce Up St. Albert program, an annual clean up and beautification program that encourages resident participation in a variety of activities that ultimately keeps our community looking its best!

Please note: when participating in any activity, remember to follow all provincial public health measures.
