2025's painted garbage can entries

The Garbage Can Design Contest is an annual competition where students paint garbage cans in an effort to help beautify the city!

Presented by TD, this contest is part of the Spruce Up St. Albert program, an annual clean up program that encourages resident participation in a variety of activities that ultimately keep our community looking its best! The final painted garbage cans are placed around the city in our parks and neighbourhoods for all to enjoy!

This year's theme "Our Land, Our Future," also serves as the focus for World Environment Day on June 5, 2025. This theme highlights the need to restore land, strengthen resilience to drought, and emphasize the critical connection between the health of our land, the future of our planet and the well-being of future generations.

Vote for Your Favourite!

From May 1 to May 12, 2025, residents can view one-of-a-kind designs and vote for their favourite. (VOTING CLOSED)
