What We Heard during Kingsmeade Park Planning

We would like to thank everyone who participated and provided their feedback on the Kingsmeade Park Site Amenity Options survey from January 29, 2021 to February 12, 2021.

From the 68 responses received, major themes include:

Overwhelming support for a nature-themed playground with natural colours and nature-inspired play structures such as trees, logs and rocks

The desire to incorporate pour-in-place rubber surfacing for the playground

Support to include the proposed interactive trail elements

Support for a variety of vegetation to keep the area natural, provide some colour and provide some protection from the wind

The full survey results are available in the What We Heard report located on the right side of this page under key documents. The information from the survey will be used to finalize the detailed design for Kingsmeade Park.

We appreciate your continued interest and support in Kingsmeade Park project. You will have an opportunity to view the detailed design plan in March at a virtual open house, prior to the design being finalized for construction in spring 2021 .
