On February 16, 2021, St. Albert City Council passed a motion to proceed with the steps toward implementing a designated "Small Dog Area" within the existing boundaries of Lacombe Lake Dog Park, located at 159MR McKenney Avenue.

A site assessment review of Lacombe Lake Dog Park has identified feasible location options within the existing dog park boundaries. Two preliminary concept design options for these locations are available for review.

Residents and park users were invited to share feedback on the preliminary design options through an online survey from June 9 to 18, 2021. Public input will help identify the preferred area location option and is considered alongside:

  • City programs, policies and approved plans
  • Technical requirements
  • Sustainable maintenance requirements
  • Project-specific factors

We thank everyone who submitted their thoughts and ideas through the survey.
