Playground Design

Thank you everyone who provided feedback on the Lodgepole Playground Replacement design.

Your valuable feedback on inclusive and accessible playgrounds, and playground features guided the design of the Lodgepole Playground. The final design was developed in collaboration with Variety Alberta, the area resident, and the City.

What’s Next?

The new play equipment has now been ordered. The existing playground will be removed and new construction is expected to take place soon. Based on public feedback and consultation with the project partners, the existing swing area will remain and the new playground will be shifted slightly to accommodate the larger footprint of the new play area. In addition to the new play features, you will also see a new pathway to the playground, and a more accessible picnic table and bench.
