Ville Giroux amendment area


Proposed Changes

Select Engineering on behalf of Cidex Group of Companies have expressed interest in proposing changes to the Ville Giroux Area Structure Plan (ASP) and the associated Land Use Bylaw (LUB) districts, as these pertain to their properties.

The changes proposed are as follows:

  • ASP amendment to redesignate some medium-density areas to low-density residential.
  • ASP amendment to redesignate other medium-density areas to high-density.
  • Redistricting Urban Reserve (UR) lands to various residential districts.
  • A change to the High Density Residential (R4) district to allow for building height up to 65m and maximum density of 200 units/ha.
  • A 25 per cent decrease in the parking requirements for apartments on this site.
  • A change in the podium height from three storeys to two storeys for buildings on this site.

To gather public input and feedback prior to applying for any changes, Select Engineering hosted a virtual public information meeting on Thursday, October 13, 2022. The event was recorded by the applicant for those who could not attend (see below).
