Annual Competition

This is an annual competition where students paint garbage cans in an effort to help beautify the city!

This year's theme is Seed for Tomorrow: the invitation to work collaboratively to care for each other and the environment. From April 25 to May 5, 2023, residents can view one-of-a-kind designs and vote for their favourite!

Presented by TD, the Garbage Can Design Contest is part of the Spruce Up St. Albert program, an annual clean up and beautification program that encourages resident participation in a variety of activities that ultimately keeps our community looking its best! The final painted garbage cans are placed around the city in our parks and neighbourhoods for all to enjoy!
