Hodgson Park Playground
Introduction
The City of St. Albert is seeking input into the redevelopment of the Hodgson Park Playground. Input will assist the City with determining the eventual playground theme and play features to be included.
Hodgson Park is located in Heritage Lakes and is the largest of seven parks in the neighbourhood. The park includes trails, a soccer field, a rink and a playground. The playground is located at the south end of the park and is immediately adjacent to École La Mission School.
The playground was built in 1997 and includes a large main play structure with four slides, many climbing and creative play opportunities, and many spots to swing for all ages. This public engagement process will allow the City to gather information to shape the future design of the playground to meet the needs of the community. Your input along with considerations of financial feasibility, available space, parks related standards, policies and guidelines and overall needs of the community will influence the decision-making process.
