Introduction

The City of St. Albert is seeking input to help inform the design for Redpoll Park, a new neighbourhood park located in Riverside. Community feedback collected during this engagement will help shape the overall layout, features and priorities for the park based on how residents expect to use the space.

Redpoll Park is intended to serve residents within walking distance and will function as a neighbourhood park focused on everyday use.

About Redpoll Park

Redpoll Park is located in the southwest corner of the Riverside neighbourhood. The park site is shown on the map below.

Redpoll Park was not included in the Riverside Park Master Plan and does not have a concept plan. This engagement represents the primary opportunity for community input into the parks design.

How Your Input Will Be Used

The park's location, classification and budget have been confirmed through prior planning. This engagement is your opportunity to help inform the design for Redpoll Park, including:

  • Desired park features and amenities.
  • Overall layout and design priorities.
  • How the park can best support neighbourhood use.

Following this phase, design and construction will be completed by the City in accordance with approved standards and budget.

How You Can Get Involved

We encourage you to participate:

  • By filling out our online survey, that will be available from February 12 to March 2, 2026.
  • At our virtual town hall on Tuesday, February 24 from 6 - 7 p.m.
  • In-person at our pop-up event on Monday, February 16, from noon to 4 p.m. at Lacombe Lake Park during the Fire and Ice Festival.

If you require any accommodations in order to participate in the engagement opportunities, please do not hesitate to reach out.
