Prioritizing Universal and Barrier-Free Access

The City of St. Albert is seeking public input to help create a safe, inclusive and accessible space for children of all abilities to share in friendship, fun and play.

In alignment with the City's Universal Access Plan, the outdoor playground located in Fountain Park (6 Cunningham Road) will soon be replaced with the first accessible and inclusive play space area in St. Albert!

Features

Accessible and inclusive playgrounds feature elements that are developmentally appropriate for children with and without disabilities and are thoughtfully designed to provide a safe and fun place where children of all abilities can play together.

Fountain Park is classified as a community park with an existing playground structure designed for ages 18 months to 12 years. The replacement playground structure will also be designed for ages 18 months to 12 years and will include accessible ground surfacing.

    The City of St. Albert is currently redeveloping the outdoor playground in Fountain Park and values your feedback on the concept design options.

    Note: There are eight (8) playground design options included in this survey. Please consider evaluating all playground designs as your feedback is very valuable on all of them.
