WD Cuts Art 9: The students wanted to display the land as a 'big sky country,' embracing the beauty that Alberta has to offer. They painted the Alberta landscape from morning to night, hoping to maintain the land for everyone's future.

Neil M Ross 1A: This year's theme inspired our students to create a design featuring Earth surrounded by helping hands as well as pictures and messages of trees, flowers, pollinators, seeds, clean air and water. World is a gift from God!

Neil M Ross 1B: Our Grade One students designed this special garbage can to show how small actions can help make Earth happy. Their artwork highlights how keeping garbage off the ground helps plants, bees, and butterflies thrive.

Muriel Martin 3GF: How do you want your future to be? A clean, green world with thriving nature or a polluted, dirty environment. We highlight the need for resiliency and the need to protect the land we have.

Muriel Martin Gr 5 Fr: Our trash can shows two futures, one side is a polluted with people fleeing to Mars. The other is a happy green planet full of life. We wrote “WE NEED TO CHANGE” to remind everyone the future is up to us.

Muriel Martin 6B: The Lorax movie fit the theme of keeping our land healthy for future generations. We want to remind everyone what might happen in real life if we continue to litter and not take care of the plants.

Muriel Martin 2G: The care for our land is demonstrated in the land itself, by its vibrance and diversity. We show a thriving land that has been cared for, and one that is beginning to lose its beautiful components, leaving lasting shadows

Ecole La Mission Grade 5 Council: Students highlighted the need for water and nourishment for all who reside on Earth, recognizing these as fundamental rights and responsibilities, while honoring the growth and well-being of all future generations.

Sister Alphonse Gr 5-7: We show the difference between unhealthy and healthy land! The Totem Pole represents the Indigenous people who teach us to always care deeply for our land and teach us how to respect it for future generations.

Sister Alphonse K to Gr 4: From a thriving forest, to what remains, and finally what will soon be a forest again! Seedlings on the bottom are kinder finger prints. The stars are finger prints from the entire student body!

Ronald Harvey Gr 5: Our grade 5 students connected with their inner Lorex to bring to life this year's theme. Students included aspects of nature in their design while reflecting on how they can help protect the environment.

Lois Hole Grade 4/5: We painted mountains with backgrounds that represent the four seasons. A healthy planet supports our future and well-being of future generations. Our design reminds everyone to care for the land.

Lois Hole Grade 4: Our group created a futuristic world in which we aimed to capture the importance of looking after earth. We included the solar system to showcase that our impact, as humans, extends to everything in our world.

Sturgeon Heights Arts: No matter what size, gender, race, identity, culture or disability you are unique and you should embrace that Everyone is unique in their own way and accept yourself for who you are and others for who they are too YOU ARE LOVED

Wild Rose Kindergarten: Our class knows that keeping the Earth clean is an important way to make sure that WE grow up healthy, strong and enjoying the Earth for many years to come! Greta Thunberg is right: all we have to do is wake up and change!
