St. Albert Policing Committee at Farmer's Market.


Working together with the community, and the RCMP, to ensure the safety and security of the citizens of St. Albert and an effective and accountable policing service.

The St. Albert Policing Committee is a legislative body established under the Policing Committee Bylaw 13/2019, working alongside City Council and the RCMP to maintain a safe and accountable community. It serves as a liaison between City Council, the RCMP Detachment and residents to encourage community participation in creating safe and secure neighbourhoods. Current policing priorities are:

  • Crime reduction
  • Mental health and addiction
  • Intimate partner/domestic violence

Community Engagement - February 2025

From February 3 to 28, 2025, the Policing Committee invited residents to share their perspectives on local policing in St. Albert through the Policing Priorities Survey. The feedback collected will help shape the Committee’s recommendations to City Council and provide valuable insights into community concerns and priorities.


Thank you to all who shared their input during this engagement. Your perspectives are an important part of guiding the RCMP’s work in St. Albert and shaping the Committee’s recommendations to Council.

All feedback will be reviewed and summarized for the Policing Committee and Council. The summary of results will be posted here once complete, helping inform future policing strategies in St. Albert.
