About Lions Park

Lions Park is a beloved City Park in the heart of St. Albert that provides opportunities for community gathering, hosting year-round events, bookable spaces and everyday use for residents.

Lions Park Design Project

Lions Park needs revitalization to ensure it continues to meet the needs of the community. This work is part of the regular lifecycle of the park which sets up the space for future generations to enjoy. The design of the park will maintain the natural features of the park, but minor changes may be needed to improve the safety of park users.

This project is limited to Lions Park. No changes will be made to the nearby land, parks or public spaces, as shown by the park boundaries on the map below. Construction is dependent on future funding approval.

A What We Heard summary will be shared in November 2026 and the finalized re-design is anticipated to be shared early in 2027.

    Thank you for reaching out regarding the design of Lions Park. The project team will be asking the public for their feedback on the design of Lions Park in fall of 2026 to assist in some design decisions. Your feedback has been noted and will be included, however it is recommended that you check back to this webpage for updates on the upcoming survey and engagement opportunities.

    The City will be asking for public feedback on the project in fall of 2026. More details on how and when will be posted to this CtC page in the coming weeks.
